I’d like to take a moment here at the end of 2013 to thank everyone who’s taken the time to read this blog, support it, comment on it and share it with others! You all make the work on this site worth-while!
I hope that this website has been a good inspiration to Scouts and Scouters in the year and a half since its founding. I eagerly look forward to this next year as I continue to share some of the awesome things I’ve learned about the traditional Scouting program!
New Navigation Tool!
One of the shortcomings of this website was a lack of good navigation. There was a growing stock of good past articles that were hard to browse through. I hope this will be solved by a new Navigation Page I’ve added. You can access it via the green menu bar above. It is organized by topic and includes a date of publication for each post (per a reader’s suggestion).
For those who are new to the site, I’d like to give a short update about me personally. As of December 2013, I am a 19-year-old Eagle Scout. I am actively volunteering with my local Troop in the capacity of Assistant Scoutmaster.
This blog is based upon a book I’ve been working on writing since I was 16. It began as a desire to share with others some of the inspiring and awesome things I’ve learned about the Scouting program which aren’t as well known as they should be.
The book is now completed! It describes, in a narrative format, the story of a young man who discovers the principles of Scouting for the first time.
I am currently looking into several options for publication. You can expect to hear some more definite news coming up this Spring. I’m really looking forward to sharing this with you!
As for the blog, I will continue to post many more articles in 2014! I look forward to hearing your comments! If you have any questions/suggestions for topics you’d like to see covered, just leave a comment!
Thanks again for reading this blog!
